ADACI Nigeria

Fakunle Oyesanya • President – Hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. Graduated from Yaba College of Technology in 1989 where he studied Fine Art. He is a practicing Artist as well as a practicing Ifa Priest with the title of “Erinmi Awo”. He was the former President of Orunmila Youngsters International, ex-PRO, International Council for Ifa Religion, a member of the World Ifa Festival Committee 2005, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, a member of Ethics and Scripture Committee (International Council for Ifa Religion), a member of Editorial Board “Eleri Ipin” magazine and Registrar, Ifa International Training Institute, Lagos Nigeria. Fakunle is married with children. He has written some books (unpublished) in Ifa about historical expositions from the beginning of time and certain inherent messages in Ifa.

Gbolahan Okemuyiwa • Vice-President – Hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State of Nigeria. He earned a Diploma in Social Development and Administration 1993, Bsc. Sociology, in 2000 and Msc. Sociology in 2002 from University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is currently, the Editor-in-Chief, Orunmila Magazine, Member of Documentation and Research Committee, World Ifa festival 2005 Ile-Ife. He has held many positions in Orunmila Youngsters International which include: Secretary General, Publicity Secretary, Social Secretary, Financial Secretary, Welfare Officer to mention just a few. He is currently, the Head of Department, Prayer and Power of the Spoken Word, Ifa International Training Institute, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Public servant and an Ifa Priest with the title of APASE-AWO of Aiyetoro, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is happily married with children.

Joseph O. Bolanle Oga • Secretary General – A native of  Ikorodu, Lagos State and graduated in Fine Art, 1990 at Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos. He later studied at Lagos State University where he obtained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. As a Sculptor he has produced scores of sculptures which are in public and private homes J.O.B Oga is also a professional teacher and teaches fine Art in a public Secondary School.            He is married with children.

Olufunmilola Aina Thomas • Treasurer – Is a teacher by profession. She holds a National Certificate of Education (NCE-English/French) from Lagos State College of Education, Oto-Ijanikin, Nigeria in 1985, and a Diploma in Computer (D.T.P), 2002. She has taught English, French and Cultural activities in various primary and secondary schools in Nigeria. She is also a professional caterer. Olufunmilola hails from Lagos, Nigeria. She is married with children.

Olakayode Akintoye Salako • Publicity Secretary – Is from Ejigbo in Osun State       of Nigeria. He holds a Bsc. Degree in Food Technology from the University of Ibadan. A Sunday School Superintendent in a local Baptist Church. Araromi Baptist Church, Mushin, Lagos. Also a consultant in Pacquet Flooring (Laminate Wood). He is married with a kid (son).                 

Adeshola Benson • Welfare Officer – A native of Ekiti State, Nigeria. She obtained Ordinary Diploma in Computer and Secretariat Course. Currently a Computer Operator in Lagos, Nigeria. She is married with children. She likes traveling and meeting people.

Miss Ebunoluwa Mariam Oloyede • Assistant Secretary – A native of Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria. She holds a Bachelor Degree (B.A) in Yoruba and Communication Art, Lagos State University. She loves reading inspirational books.

Babalawo Adejuwonlo A. Ekundayo • Priest of Orunmila, Ifalogist, Teacher, Medical Doctor and Community Organizer – Born in Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa to Titilola and Adeyemi Ekundayo, Baba Ade, as he is affectionately known, followed in the educational footsteps of his father, Adeyemi. Both are western-trained medical doctors. Baba Ade has practiced family medicine, while his father, now deceased, was a surgeon. He is the younger of the two boys born to their Mother, Titi. Area residents will know Baba Ade through his brother, Olu Ekundayo, a well known community organizer and activist in Baltimore city. Baba Ade is happily married to Sister Mary Phillip of Delta state. The couple has three wonderful children, Olubemiga (named for his uncle Olu), Oludemiladelade, and baby Iyalode, the newest member who came into the family last September. Baba has been educated in the ten major religions of the world including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Sufism, which his father insisted he master before being taught the wisdom and mysteries of Ifa. A community organizer, Baba has been either the founder, director, publicist and overall organizer of many community organizations too numerous to name, including the Hawa Burka Foundation and Society, The Widows of Zarifa Trust, the Peoples’ Democratic Institute, and founding member of ADACI- Nigeria. With his brother, Olu, he has co-authored a manuscript awaiting publication, Spirituality and Mental Health: An Ifa Overview. ADACI-Washington, DC proudly welcomes Babalawo Adejuwonlo Ekundayo to the Baltimore-Washington Area.
